Due date

It's hard to believe that today was the babies original due date. They are all acting and weighing in like 'term' babies now so some of our stressors of having premature babies are starting to dissipate.

Oscar is 7 lbs 14 oz and has earned himself a number of nicknames for his hilarious personality His hobbies include crossing his eyes, grunting, peeing when his diaper is off and smashing and scratching his face with his busy busy hands. If he had it his way, his mom would hold him all day long.

Lainey is now 8 lbs 6 oz which is double her birth weight. When she isn't making these funny little chipmunk sounds she is passing a tremendous amount of gas - such funny sounds that come out of this sweet little girl. It looks like her passion for eating will solidify her reign of being the biggest of the 3.

Willie Grace is 6 lbs 6 oz. She has the most intense eyes and is always peering out of them looking as if she is plotting her escape from this crazy household.  She has this amazingly dramatic cry acting as if her feet are on fire...luckily there haven't been any feet fires and she typiclly just wants a little attention.

We love boppy pillows and wubanub pacifiers!

The trio were incredibly lucky to have their Grandma Mary stay with them for the past month. If babies could be spoiled, they were spoiled rotten rotten rotten. I'm pretty sure none of us would have survived without her here.  Now we are on our own and are impressing ourselves with how capable we actually are. Fortunately, about every other night, the babies are starting to skip a feeding. This gives us the opportunity to sleep for about 3-4 consecutive hours if we play it just right (hasn't actually happened yet). Otherwise every 3 hours it's time to eat... thankfully their schedule is proving to help us stay sane and keep them happy.

  2. Love love love it!!!!! They are amazing and you guys are obviously ace at this parenting triplets thing ;) I knew the two of you would somehow make this crazy, amazing, super busy, life changing event into "normal"....well "Davis-normal" anyway. Lots of love - maybe we can do a zoo trip later this summer with all of the babies! XOXOXOXOX

  3. Look at y'all--- out on the prowl, on one of the few nice days that we have had recently (in Houston). I love the updates and I am glad things are going well since your families' return to NE. Crazy to think about all that has happened over the past 1-2 months--- and that's from an outsider's perspective. I can only imagine what y'all must be thinking!
